SME loan · Business financing

Financing for your business, presented the way banks assess it.

We help Malaysian small and medium businesses apply for term financing and working capital, preparing the financials, bank statements and business profile and submitting to suitable partner banks.

Business financing, built on your numbers

SME financing covers facilities such as term loans for equipment, renovation or expansion, and working capital to support stock, payroll and day-to-day operations. Banks assess the business itself: its trading history, revenue and cash flow, existing borrowings, and the credit records of the business and its directors or owners. Some facilities may also require collateral or a personal guarantee from the directors.

How the business is presented matters. We help you work out an amount and structure the business can realistically service, check that your financial statements and bank statements tell a consistent story, and prepare a short business profile so the bank understands what you do and what the funds are for.

We are a consultancy, not a lender. The bank decides whether to approve the financing, the amount, the rate and any security required.

Who it suits

SME financing suits registered businesses with a trading record, up-to-date accounts and a clear purpose for the funds.

  • Registered businesses with a trading track record
  • Businesses needing working capital for stock or day-to-day operations
  • Businesses funding equipment, renovation or expansion
  • Companies with up-to-date accounts and bank statements

What we handle

Business applications involve more paperwork than personal ones. We focus on the financials, the cash flow and a clear purpose for the funds.

A clear business case

We turn your financial statements, bank statements and business profile into a case the bank can assess on its merits.

Amount matched to cash flow

We look at your revenue, existing borrowings and cash flow to work out an amount and tenure the business can realistically service.

Complete company documents

Company registration documents, accounts and directors' details are checked and assembled into one pack before submission.

Banks compared before submission

Partner banks differ in the businesses and purposes they finance. We submit where your business profile fits best.

SME loan questions

What do banks look at in an SME loan application?

Banks generally look at how long the business has been trading, its revenue and cash flow, existing borrowings, and the credit records of the business and its directors. Each bank sets its own criteria.

Do I need collateral or a personal guarantee?

It depends on the facility and the bank. Some business financing is unsecured, while other facilities need property or other security, and directors may be asked for a personal guarantee. We explain what each option involves before you apply.

Can a newly started business apply?

Banks generally prefer businesses with a trading track record and accounts they can review, so a newer business has fewer options. We look at your position honestly and tell you whether to apply now or what to build up first.

Which documents does the company need?

Usually company registration documents from SSM, recent company bank statements, financial statements or management accounts, and identification for the directors. The checklist above lists the typical items; the bank may ask for more.

Check your eligibility

Tell us about your business and what the funds are for, and a consultant will review which partner banks fit your profile.

Submitting an enquiry does not create an application. Approval remains with the bank.
